Weekend Preschool Classroom Assistant – You will assist the Lead Teacher in ministering to children ages 2-Kindergarten.

Preshool Behind the Scenes Assistant – Are you a service oriented, organized person or are your giftings administrative? If so, we have just the spot for you. Preschool is looking for a few behind the scenes helpers to make die cuts, prepare crafts, do laundry and cleaning, organize drawers and closets, etc.

4s and Kindergarten Teaching Team – Are you a gifted storyteller or preschool worship leader? We are looking for a few people to teach story and worship on a rotating schedule.

Experienced Actors - We are looking for actors interested in joining the Live Wire drama ministry. Our mission is to use performing arts and theater to glorify God and help others come to know and understand him better. We do this by performing regularly in elementary weekend services. We meet weekly on Thursday nights and perform on weekends in the elementary services. Roles vary and all levels of experience are welcome. Members must be in at least seventh grade. We meet on Thursday evenings for rehearsals. If you are interested in Live Wire, please contact Evan Nelson at 245-2415.

Seven Service Lifeguards (Small Group Leaders) – Small groups have a big influence! Be a part of creating the small group experience for Elementary aged kids, 1st – 6th grade. The Seven service offers a unique way to get involved. Here you will build meaningful relationships, participate in fun and exciting activities, and talk about the weekend’s lesson with a group of about 10 kids—helping to prepare them to change their world’s for Christ! All materials, activities, and directions are provided, so all you have to bring is a willingness to influence the next generation. Remember, you can also opt to be a co-leader, so don’t worry if you’re a little shy!

Harbor Service Lifeguards – Come alongside kids and participate in Beach House—a stage-led program for Elementary-aged kids that involves fun activities, truthful Bible lessons, live drama and worship through music! As a Lifeguard you will build relationships with kids that will have lasting impact in their lives. The Lifeguard position offers a place for every type of leader, so whether you prefer helping kids one-on-one with crafts or you feel comfortable taking on a larger group of kids in a game of four-square, there’s a place for you!

Shout It Out - Be a part of a team that creates meaningful worship, while also teaching kids how to serve! Each week Shout It Out leads worship through music and choreographed dance at Beach House. This is a fun and exciting way to use your talents artistically by becoming a stage leader or choreographer. Even if you don’t have much rhythm or coordination, we could use your help administratively at sign-in!

Weekend Check-In Attendants - Here at HDC we want all kids to feel welcome and excited to be at church! As a check-in attendant you will be the first warm, welcoming, and smiling face to greet kids as they walk in to Beach House, effectively creating an inviting environment for parents and children. You will also check the kids in by highlighting their names in our roster and assigning security numbers to parents.

Application Process:
In order to volunteer with HDC Kids, we ask that you start by fill out an application, which can be downloaded below. After that, we will go through a screening process, bring you in to get to know you, and then ease you in to your position—first by introducing you to the program and letting you get your feet wet, and then ultimately setting you lose to impact kids for Christ! Be prepared for God to work through you and for great things to happen!
